Installation, Operation and Maintenance

 

Installation Guidelines :

Install in a location accessible for inspection and cleaning, away from excessive vibration.

Ensure flow direction matches arrow indicator on meter body.

Use standard Tri-Clamp gaskets (EPDM, silicone, or PTFE) between ferrule ends; clamp securely but avoid over-tightening.

For horizontal pipelines, install with register facing upward; for vertical pipes, ensure upward flow direction.

Although multi-jet meters are insensitive to flow disturbances, recommended straight pipe runs: ≥5D upstream, ≥3D downstream for optimal performance .

Prior to installation, flush pipeline thoroughly to remove debris, weld slag, or other contaminants.

For CIP/SIP applications, ensure meter materials are compatible with cleaning media (temperature up to 150°C) .

Operation:

Mechanical register models require no external power; pulse output models require 5-24VDC supply.

Connect pulse output to PLC, SCADA, or remote monitoring system using shielded cable (max 100m).

For RS485/Modbus models, configure address and baud rate as per system requirements.

LCD display models show instantaneous flow rate, totalized flow, and diagnostic information .

Maintenance :

Tri-Clamp design enables quick disassembly for inspection without breaking pipeline connections.
